Imagine a large orchard full of apple trees and long grass waving gently in the summer breeze. The ground is uneven with a couple of taller slopes where you like to sit and watch a sunset now and then, looking out over the patch of brambles and nettles from which you will harvest blackberries come August. Idyllic, yes? Now imagine trying to mow said orchard on a damp April morning; suddenly the rolling slopes seem insurmountably steep, the brambles less a source of delicious fruit and more a sinister thicket, and the long grass, no longer swaying in a warming zephyr, merely clogs up your mower’s grass collector. Not so much fun any more. Thankfully, this is where Westwood’s F250 4TRAC HGM garden tractor comes in.

Unlike most two-wheel drive lawn tractors, the F250 4TRAC’s four-wheel drive hydrostatic transmission system, boosted by Westwood’s unique 4TRAC technology and dynamic traction control, is just as capable of delivering excellent mowing performance on steep slopes and slippery ground as it is on fine, formal lawns. With power provided by an industrious and reliable 726cc Kawasaki OHV petrol engine, the F250 4TRAC is thus capable of handling even the roughest and most slippery ground with an ease which borders on arrogance, saving you inestimable time and effort in the process.

Moreover, the F250 4TRAC is also fitted with an imposing 92cm high grass mulching deck, designed to make it easy to clear areas of scrubland or other overgrown grassed areas with the minimum of hassle. The cutting deck features a sturdy steel housing which forces weeds, nettles and high grass into the mulching chamber where heavy-duty chains prevent the cutting material from leaving until it is fully mulched; clippings are then returned to the soil in order to recycle valuable moisture and nutrients and promote healthy lawn growth. When used in conjunction with the optional powered grass collector, which uses a spindle of brushes to sweep clippings into the 300 litre grass bag, the F250 4TRAC is also capable of producing great results on fine or formal lawns, leaving an iconic striped lawn in its wake as it does so thanks to the collector’s integrated rear roller.

The versatility of the F250 4TRAC is further enhanced by the inclusion of variable ten-position height of cut adjustment (12mm-101mm) and a power take-off fitting which can be used to drive a number of useful accessories, including an aerator and a broadcast spreader. Also featuring a range of ergonomic features, including a comfortable driver’s seat, a noise-reducing bonnet and a safety enhancing front-mounted bullbar, Westwood’s F250 4TRAC HGM garden tractor is a miracle of modern mowing machinery more than capable of producing great results in almost any situation, come rain or shine.

About Westwood
Westwood is a British manufacturing success story. Based just outside Oxford, the company has been producing high quality, state of the art garden tractors for over thirty years. In that time, Westwood has become a word synonymous with quality among those in the know and Westwood's garden tractors are famous for providing long lasting, superbly reliable performance. This is because every employee is passionate about constantly improving every part of the manufacturing process, with a deep understanding of how their machines perform in real life situations a core part of the development process.

Westwood’s tractors are also a little different from most though, as they are specifically designed to cope with the British climate. As such, all electronic controls are fully weatherproofed, while painted components have been tested with 500 hours of continuous salt spray exposure to ensure they are protected against corrosion. Even more impressive, however, is Westwood’s unique collection system, designed to make it easy to cut wet grass without having to worry about clogging.

Luckily, Westwood garden tractors cut and collect in a totally different way than most lawnmowers as the system doesn’t rely on air flow to collect grass cuttings. Instead, the Westwood collector uses a spindle of brushes driven by the tractor’s power take-off to sweep grass clippings from your lawn and into the hopper, leaving a pristine lawn surface behind in its wake. The Powered Grass Collector is effective in wet or dry conditions and out-performs every other type of collector on the market, ensuring that you can achieve a perfect cut and a tidy finish regardless of the conditions underfoot. Moreover, Westwood’s Powered Grass Collectors are also fitted with a heavy rear roller capable of producing a crisp stripe effect as you mow for an even more luxurious finish.

In addition to this fantastic innovative system, Westwood garden tractors are tough, user-friendly and truly built to last, making them perfect for serious home gardeners and lawn care professionals alike. If you apply online (at http://www.westwoodtractors.com/demo/) you can even request a free home demonstration so that you can see exactly what a Westwood tractor can do (at which point we're pretty sure you’ll decide you want one).
